Transport
So far, Sock Pin, Lawrence, Marjorie, David and Christel needs transport to attend rehearsal on Friday. Kindly send us an email by Wednesday 23:59 if you need transport. Thank you for your cooperation.

Kindly note other than choir practice  there is also sketch practice right after our rehearsal. i.e. Choir rehearsal usually ends at 1930, at most 1945 and sketch rehearsal begins right after, so you may practice upstairs on your own after choir rehearsal or you may do something else on your own. Choir members who are not participating in sketch will be staying at CCF RH until 2200 for return transport. Alternatively, choir members may arrange their own return transport.

Concerning Spiritual Gifts (1 Corinthians 12)
Everyone are gifted, the fact you are in the choir proves you are musically gifted, some more, some less. Nevertheless, you are all gifted! Do not lose hope, try your best, try hard, even if you fail, fail better next time, learn from your failures. We are all in the body of Christ, we will never let you down, even if you may be the weakest in the choir, you still are important, your presence is important!

Diamond bright
Due to time constraint, we will not sing this song. Serena will play this live accompanying a power point presentation narrating the story of nativity.

Kodaly's method
We taught the Kodaly's method to members on Sunday, we will practice using Kodaly's method some more time. Here is an example video:

How to practice
1. Have a quick look at the music score
2. Read and understand the lyrics
3. Play the audio files and try to hum or sing 'ah' along with the audio
4. Repeat until you are comfortable with your part
5. Try to sing the words
6. After you fully mastered your part, try to sing along the SATB file.
7. If possible, memorize your part

Try your best!

Announcements as of 2nd of December 2012

Dear all,

God's Promises: He Will Supply All Needs
“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19, The Holy Bible)
We are very happy as our member Ronald (Bass) just returned from the USA and, he will be singing together with us as one voice! Amen!

New members
We are happy to announce that there are 2 new members joining our choir this week. They are Liline (*Soprano) and Eric Chan (*Tenor)
God is good, all the time and all the time, God is good. Amen!
*-> member has been randomly assigned to given part. Member might be reassigned to different part after determining the vocal range.

Kindly note application is open all year round.

Permanent Choir Coordinator
Due to all the confusion caused during the previous days, Cynthia Li voluntarily accepted the post of Permanent Choir Coordinator. She will be in charge of informing members in cases where announcements and/or changes are made within 24 hours prior to the rehearsal. For all announcements made more than 24 hours, i.e. announcements made at least 1 day before rehearsal begins, kindly visit this blog spot for the latest information. Thank you for your understanding and usual cooperation.

Rehearsal Time
7th of December, Friday, at CCF RH at 07:15pm (before Rehearsal for Sketch)  Cancelled
No Rehearsal (kindly practice on your own)

8th of December, Saturday, No Rehearsal (kindly practice on your own)
9th of December, Sunday, at CCF PL at 10:30am (after CCF combined service)

The rehearsal on Friday will be rather short, around 15 mins, at most 30 mins. And, this will be the only time Laurie (Conductor) is available to practice together with us. So, seize this opportunity well!

David will be stuck at work till late tonight and,  this morning, Laurie informed us that she will not be available for practice. Also, both pianists, Elsie and Serena have other things to attend to tonight. Cynthia Li have informed you of the last minute cancellation of rehearsal through sms. We are terribly sorry for any inconveniences caused. Thank you for your understanding. Rehearsal on Sunday at CCF PL at 10:30am is maintained. See you then.

Members who cannot attend rehearsal on Sunday, kindly practice on your own. Thank you for your cooperation.

The rehearsal on Saturday for this week is cancelled. Both Laurie and David are not available. Thank you for your attention.

After receiving feedback from members today, the rehearsal duration time on this coming Sunday will be around 1 hour 30 minutes. We will have vocal warm up exercises and we will practice both O Come O Come Emmanuel and Praise ye the Father. We will sing both songs together with the elderly choir. Kindly listen to the audio files as preparation. Thank you. Try your best!

Kindly note the above is only for reference as the one sung in the video and our music score are slightly different. Enjoy the quartet!

Elderly choir
We received the list of elderly choir members from Mrs. Ah Niong this morning: 30 members in total; 23 sopranos, 1 alto, 1 tenor, 3 basses (approximate numbers only). If every one are present from both choirs, ideally, we will have a big choir of over 40 members. You will never walk alone, stay strong and practice your part well!

Try your best! Listen to the audio files which are posted in previous announcements. Believe in yourself! Yes you can!

God bless,
CCF Youth Choir
